by: Kashif Javed

Expression of my helplessness in wake of the atrocities committed against the muslims around the world.

As morbid as living dead we walk

Oblivious of pain within our creed

The reek of blood has seamed within

As youth ashamed of self we breed

As we look away from the endless rape

And then persist with the shameless gait;

We Curse the heavens and stars of luck

Disgraced, accept the hand of fate

Illustrious past we don’t forget

Those men we name our children by

Should they be called to fight again?

Or divine help descends the sky?

They mock and laugh at our helpless state

As we lay unmoved at their cruel boots

If our stagnant blood has a hint of warmth

Let’s shun languor from our very roots

We may yet have in our hollowed bones

The strength to stand with pride, upright

The fire they lit has burnt our homes

But may just melt our hearts to light

Our burdened souls are weak and frail

But may just carry our futures weight

Destiny a mere illusion in time

Its men who make a nations fate

Fear imprisoned our selfs for long

Let hope now set our children free

I know that life is a precious gift

But would we live, if we are not free

by: Zeemad Khan

The fifth article of faith in Islam is to believe in the Final Day, the Day of Judgment, when people will be resurrected and gathered for Judgment, and then will be given the glad tidings of Paradise or the doom of Hell-Fire. This is a very big topic, so I will only mention some of the events of the Last Day and I will be very brief.

Muslims believe that when a person dies, the Trial of the Grave begins, which involves questioning the deceased person in his grave about his Lord, his religion, and his Prophet. Allah says: “Allah will keep firm those who believe, with the word that stands firm in this world (i.e. they will keep worshipping Allah Alone and none else), and in the Hereafter. And Allah will cause to go astray those who are Zaalimoon (Polytheists and wrong-doers), and Allah does what He wills.” (Ibrahim: 27) The believer will say: “Allah is my Lord, Islam is my religion, and Muhammad is my Prophet.” The unbeliever or the hypocrite will say: “I do not know. I heard the people saying something and I said it.” The believers will abide in their graves with comfort and upon death, they will be greeted by the Angels and will be given the good news of Paradise as Allah says: “Those whose lives the angels take while they are in a pious state (i.e. that is pure from all evil and worshipping none but Allah) saying (to them): ‘Salaamun ‘Alaikum (peace be upon you) enter Paradise, because of that (the good) which you used to do (in the world).’” (An-Nahl: 32).

Muslims believe that there is a punishment of the grave and a torment of degradation for the transgressing unbelievers. Allah says: “….And if you could but see when the Zaalimoon (polytheists, wrong-doers, and evil-doers) are in the agonies of death, while the angels are stretching forth their hands (saying): ‘Deliver your souls! This day you shall be recompensed with the punishment of humiliation because of what you used to utter against Allah other than the truth. And you used to reject His signs.”‘ (Al-An’am: 93).

Muslims believe in the resurrection, when Allah will bring life back to all those who have died, and when the Angel Israfeel shall blow the horn for the second time as Allah states: “And the trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and who are in the Earth shall fall down fainting (swoon away), except him whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown a second time, and behold they will rise (standing), gazing around them.” (Az-Zumar: 68). People will arise from their graves, answering the call of Allah (The Lord of all Creation). Allah says: “And (remember) the Day when We shall roll up the heaven like a scroll rolled up for the books. As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it. (It is) a promise binding upon Us. Truly, We shall do it.” (Al-Anbiya: 104).

Muslims believe that whatever we do in this world, good or bad, is precisely recorded and these records shall be shown to us on that Day. Some will get their records in their right hands and some will get them in their left hands or behind their backs. Allah says: “Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, he shall surely receive an easy reckoning and he will return to his family in joy (rejoicing). But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, He will invoke (for his) destruction, and he shall enter a Blazing Fire, and be made to taste its burning.” (Al-Inshiqaaq: 7-12); Allah also says: “And we have fastened every man’s deeds to his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall bring out for him a book which he will find wide open. (It will be said to him): ‘Read your book. You yourself are sufficient as a reckoner against you this Day.”‘ (Al-Isra’: 13-14).

Muslims believe that the scales of deeds will be set up on the Day of Judgment, and that no soul shall be wronged, Allah says: “So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom shall see it.” (Az-Zalzalah: 7-8); “Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, they are the successful. And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. (Al-Mu’minoon: 102-104); and “Whoever brings a good deed shall be rewarded ten times the like of it, and he that does evil shall only be rewarded the like of it, and they shall not be wronged.” (Al-An’am: 160).

Muslims believe in Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) intercession (Shafa’ah) for the people of Paradise to enter therein. This intercession is exclusively limited to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet (PBUH) will implore Allah to begin the Judgement of Mankind, to judge among His servants when they suffer from the worries and troubles that they cannot bear on that Great Day. The Intercession also includes some believers who are to be taken out from the Fire. This mediation is granted to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and to others among the Prophets, the believers, and the angels. Some of the believers will be taken out of the Fire without the intercession of any one, but only by Allah’s Grace and Mercy.

Muslims believe in the Hawd (Cistern, Basin or Pool) and river of al-Kawthar of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which was granted to him by Allah (Surah al-Kawthar – chapter 108), the water of which is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey and better in fragrance than musk. Each of its length and width is the distance of a month’s travel. Its glasses are as stars in beauty and number. Those who strictly adhered to the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Sunnah and stayed away from innovations brought into the religion will come to drink from this Great Cistern after which they shall never be thirsty again.

Muslims believe in the Sirat (The Bridge over Hell-Fire). People pass over it according to their deeds; the first of them as fast as lighting, then as fast as wind, then as fast as birds, and then as fast as a running man. The Prophet will be standing on the path, saying: “Lord, Save! Save!” as some people’s deeds will fall short. Some of them will come crawling. At both sides of the path there are hooks designed to take whom Allah wills; some are saved but bruised; others are thrown into the Hell-Fire. (al-Bukhaari and Muslim).

Muslims believe in Paradise and Hell-Fire. Paradise is prepared for the righteous and those whom Allah has favoured and blessed. No eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and no human being has ever thought of the blessings that they will enjoy there, Allah says: “No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.” (As-Sajdah: 17). Hell-Fire is prepared for the unbelievers and the wrong-doers. The punishment, the humiliation, the torture and the horror in it cannot be visualized, Allah says: “….Verily, We have prepared for the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers), a Fire whose walls will be surrounding them. And if they ask for help (relief, water) they will be granted water like boiling oil that will scald their faces. Terrible is the drink, and an evil dwelling place!” (Al-Kahf: 29).

“….And whosoever believes in Allah and performs righteous good deeds, He will admit him into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) to dwell therein forever. Allah has indeed granted for him an excellent provision.” (At-Talaq: 11); “Verily, Allah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a Blazing Fire (Hell). Wherein they will abide forever, and they will find neither a Wali (a protector) nor a helper. On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say: ‘Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger (Muhammad)!’” (Al-Ahzab: 64-66).

Some people have been confirmed Paradise in the Qur’an and the Sunnah either by name or description. It is narrated by ‘Abd –ar-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf who said that The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “Abu Bakr will be in Paradise, ‘Umar will be in Paradise, ‘Uthmaan will be in Paradise, ‘Ali will be in Paradise, Talhah will be in Paradise, al-Zubayr will be in Paradise, ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf will be in Paradise, Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas will be in Paradise, Sa’eed ibn Zayd will be in Paradise, and Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarraah will be in Paradise.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3680). Other Companions have also been given the glad tidings of Paradise, such as Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid, ‘Abd-Allah ibn Salaam, ‘Ukaashah ibn Muhsan and others, but the ten mentioned above are called the ten who were given the glad tidings of Paradise because their glad tidings came in one hadeeth. Likewise, some people have been confirmed Hell-Fire in the Qur’an and the Sunnah. Among those who are mentioned by name are Abu Lahab, ‘Amr Ibn Luhai al-Khuza’i, and others (al-Bukhaari and Muslim). Among those mentioned by description is every unbeliever, polytheist, or hypocrite.

Muslims believe in all that is mentioned in the Qur’an and the Sunnah concerning the Day of Judgement and its Terrors – may Allah save us from them. For more information, please refer to the books by Dr. ‘Umar S. al-Ashqar – “The Minor Resurrection (what happens after death),” “The Day of Resurrection” and “Paradise and Hell”.

Disclaimer: Statements, opinions and views expressed in the below article, are that of the author himself in light of his rigorous research on the subject. Readers can disagree at any point and are encouraged to share constructive criticism.

————–

October 30th 1938, just another evening in New York where city life was streaming along nicely and people were busy in their lives fulfilling their social requirements with nothing unusual whatsoever when mercury network, a radio station in New York interrupts the music of Ramon Rachello and his Orchestra from the Park Plaza Hotel for a special news bulletin. This was the beginning of an infamous War of the Worlds broadcast with its terrifying real description on an alien invasion from Planet Mars. Within few hours of the broadcast, a million people were out in the streets, panic and scared of fact that a profound phenomenon of alien existence and invasion is coming out of comic books and becoming a part of their everyday reality which might change their lives forever or even end it. The state of panic was so much so that later that night and next morning media personnel from mercury radio had to come on the network to cover the story where they failed to explain the reason for this interruption and clarify the real agenda behind this false propaganda of an alien invasion. Those who lived their lives in disarray till today still don’t know the real reason behind this falsehood that it was a part of a complex psychological warfare test for analyzing the possibilities of human mind control and getting desirable behavioral outcome for future remunerations. The test was conducted by C.D Jackson under the umbrella of the Rockefeller Foundation a name which requires no introduction whatsoever.

When the results were compiled two years later, they were been released to an elite group whose name most men will not speak up in public or private. Among these groups are the names like The BuilderBerg Group, CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), Trilateral Commission and the Federal Reserve Bank. Under the presidency of Dwight D. Eisenhower, C.D Jackson was equivalent to the head of national security and also he was the chief of psychological warfare. His breakthrough discovery of the war of the worlds broadcast was nothing but a mind control test stunt to understand the human psychology and how they can possibly use it to pull the strings of these people and implement a control system over them.

Living in year 2010 and knowing this now, even if we try to evaluate the unimaginable impact of the test which was conducted 72 years ago and GOD knows how many tests after that, it will lead us to no conclusion. But let’s rinse this matter further to satisfy the overburdened unprecedented characteristic of our critical thinking minds.

The world in which we live in today is an outcome of these mind control tests where human race has been programmed in such a way that a certain group of people, let’s call them the ‘elite groups’ are monitoring our behavioral patterns, applying trend analysis and directing them towards their own benefits, by making us slaves of the society which in reality is in their control. By manipulating our thoughts and making us so confused that we cant recognize them and by putting us into fear that if we don’t comply to our social requirements, we’ll lose everything our jobs, wealth, status, home, lives and this fear mechanism is forcing us to submit to their authority. This manipulation of human mind and fear mechanism technique is somewhat shared by every soul on this planet at different levels which makes the elite’s job much easier to execute a global control mechanism by introducing the NEW WORLD ORDER which to this day is nothing but a mere conspiracy for us but in reality its much more than that.

This NEW WORLD ORDER, global mind control and fear mechanism has been presented to us as a gift wrapped up with the destructive side of science and technology, mass media and communication, business, economy, norms, ethics, politics, religion, culture, with a label of “Globalization” over it .A term which is known as well as acceptable to most of us. Not only that, we are pleased to live in this global village where we can travel across the world in less then 60 hours, enjoy 500 channel with a click of a button, sharing WEB information through internet, global news, fashion, economy, diseases, cure, food, travel, everything with ample choices which we can’t deny. But within this cloud of materialistic attributes of globalization we have yet failed to realize that we are becoming the slaves of these attributes and choices. Working as slaves and paying interest over debts just to keep these choices alive, we are indirectly submitting to those who control this global village. This is not submission to the ALLAH(SWT), this is the direct submission to those who are in direct confrontation with the true creator.

Now that you are on the verge of realizing that globalization is not what it seems, so you defiantly want to know the other side of the story, concerned about the grass, that is it greener on the other side or not? It is suggested that you should keep you seatbelts tight, the ride is about to get rough from here.

The other dimension of Globalization:

A playground where we use our strength and intelligence to create a way of living the way we want it to be. The world full of choices where need has nothing to do with decision making for survival rather then it’s an alibi for acquiring higher status in a society. Technological advancements which are making our lives easier so that we can boost our potency and vision combined with science to achieve new horizons and levels for society development. This and so much more, our efforts in achieving the goal of a “perfect life” is an outcome of above mentioned psychological warfare tests where by enhancing the self created materialistic desires of humans and by creating and controlling the choices which we want to possess, the elite have developed a global control mechanism which we call and praise by the name of Globalization; the world in which desire holds no authenticity unless it falls under the command of the ruler and where free-thinking is not allowed just because everything has a price and nothing is for free, not even death.

We are nothing but line item apparatus that will follow the rules and procedure to compute the desired outcome. Pretty robotic it seems but unfortunately this is the truth, life has become a metaphor of death.

Conceptualizing today’s Generation of 21st century, we are living in the times of ruins where our struggle for unknown begins every day with the clock ticking at 8 in the morning and ends up at night when we set up the alarm for the next day, another day of slavery and struggle. It’s an evident fact that man is becoming the slave of his own creations where the possibilities of alleviation are endless, and so are the costs he is paying. Nature is crying over the destruction of its core where humans are realizing it at a same time. Somehow we feel that we are not responsible for this destruction rather then we are becoming a byproduct and these hidden factors some of which are under our control, make us as evil as others. End Result; destruction for everyone.

A plausible contradiction can be that history was evolved like this for centuries. Civilizations came into existence like that, empires were built and got destroyed marking an account in the books of past and its going on for centuries, leaving lots and lots of potential behind for more destruction and control, maybe this is how it should be, may be it’s the will of the creator and that’s how he wants it to be, may be…

If you are living your life with this justification and standing by this plausibility with confidence and belief, I have to argue that this again is something which came out of your programmed head, an outcome of above mentioned psychological warfare test in fact a series of it, and now the outcome is that nothing seems astray and unprecedented, its an everyday cycle, a daily struggle of good and bad where there is no one to decide what’s good or not, life goes on with a whisper of silence because there is nothing to shout about, nothing to worry about at all in our conscience.

For those of you whom I am making some sense out of the hypocrisy of globalization, its time to realize and analyze the creators and nature of this global control and fear mechanism and the tools which they introduced and then imposed on us through which we are … let me put it straight at your face, helping none other than Satan himself who for the sake of argument is doing exactly what he told the Creator he would do, creating deception for destruction of morality.

Allow me to take you on a journey of realization and understanding of this system of global deception which has destroyed the basics of our beliefs and an aggregated consent has been forced on us to believe in because our basic needs are attached to it. This may sound amusing to most of you but the dots that I am about to connect will construct a whole new picture on the canvas of your perception and by the will of ALLAH(SWT) will trigger an ignition of retaliation that will lead us to a revolution. If they can create a global control mechanism, why can’t we join hands for a global revolution?

The time is now to understand and realize that this is not an era of globalization, this in an era where a strong influential elite hiding behind the veils of fake religious ideologies imposing a global controlling mechanism and presenting it as a will of ALLAH(SWT) instead it is the will of their materialistic god that sees with only one eye, the eye of materialism, symbolically known as a pyramid and by reversing that symbol and joining it together you get a Star of David, the flag of Israel.

You now know where this is heading. The core of globalization is covertly tangled with the Zionist ideology behind the creation of Israel. Even though this fact is known to us to some extent and its there somewhere in the back of our minds but somehow we have failed to establish a lucid relationship between them. Going back to my first claim, that our generations for past 100 years have unknowingly being a part of mind freaking test and as a result of this, we are programmed to see things with only one eye, the materialistic eye, naively submitting to antichrist, submitting to the era of GLOBALZIONATION. Let’s uncover the truth and try to establish a relationship between the darkest secret mysteries and conspiracies of the past and by connecting the dots understand the ground reality of today and most important of all, know where we are heading.

Decoding globalzionation, first we need to decipher the most brutal secular ideology the world has even seen in last 1000 years, the ideology behind the creation of Israel, Zionism.

Zionism:

The term “Zionism” was first introduced in 1893 by Nathan Birmbaum, but Theodor Herzl, an Austrian Jew born to a prosperous, emancipated Budapest family, is recognized as the founder of the Zionist ideology when he published his book in 1896, “The Jewish State”, where he declared that the cure for Anti-Semitism was the establishment of a Jewish state. As he saw it, the best place to establish this state was in Palestine.

While Herzl claimed that the establishment of a “Jewish” state would cure anti-Semitism, he also promoted anti-Semitism to further his cause.

Herzl stated in his diary:

“It is essential that the sufferings of Jews become worse. This will assist in realization of our plans for which I have an excellent idea. I shall induce anti-Semites to liquidate Jewish wealth. The anti-Semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews. The anti-Semites shall be our best friends”.

Many of us confuse Zionism with a religious ideology. Zionism revolves around the ideology of having a separate home land for Jewish people in the holy land. Why Holy land because according to their beliefs, Jews are God’s chosen people and they have a right to claim the holy land. Middle Eastern Jews on the other hand knew that their ancestors have betrayed ALLAH(SWT) laws, commandments and ALLAH(SWT) has forbidden Bani Israel (children of Israel) to come back to Holy Land. Their only survival as written in their books was to stay away from Holy Land and disperse across the world. Jews also knew this that they will be destroyed if they ever came back to Holy Land and the ideology of Zionism was in direct confrontation with Jewish beliefs and their real holy scriptures.

When this ideology was first introduced, it was obvious that in order to impose this ideology over the world and especially Jewish community which at that point in time was spread all across America, Europe and Russia, they need not only a catastrophic event like world war but also a religious stamp by re-writing the holy manuscripts of the Bible so that people from all over the world share the same sympathy and respect for the state of Israel.

That is the reason why in 1948 Israel became the first Jewish ideological state and third religious ideological state in the world. Rests of the two are Madina-e-Tayyiba founded by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Pakistan which was found in 1947 just one year before the creation of Israel. The wisdom of ALLAH(SWT) is such that Mosses has been created before the creation of Pharaoh and history is bound to repeat itself.

The irony is such that due to manipulation of Bible for stamping this Zionist ideology with religious beliefs and World War II’s self-created holocaust, Jewish people were forced to travel back to the Holy Land. The stage was set for the Zionist founders to claim the Holy Land, not to please ALLAH(SWT) but to start implementing their global agenda for dominance, to take such control over the people and humanity that no one could challenge them for this evil and not only that, slowly and gradually people should comply to what they offer.

To achieve this global dominance, it was necessary to control global indictors of society like economics, politicians and others on which they were working for last 1000 years or so. This aspect is covered in detail in another article of mine “The Antichrist Incorporated”. By gaining controls over these indicators, these people got so much control and power that they named themselves as global elite.

When we talk about Zionism being a secular ideology not a religious one, it means that you don’t have to be a Jew for being a Zionist, you can belong to any religion, sect or belief or even if you don’t believe in anything, if you stand with the legitimacy of Israel in Holy Land, you are a Zionist. Being a Muslim and a Pakistani, one should think twice before proposing the idea of accepting Israel as a legitimate country no matter if you are a civilian or a former president of Pakistan.

The Rise of Judo-Christian alliance:

It is often believed that from history we can predict the future because it always follows the same pattern of consequences, think again. Christianity faith revolves around a very deep belief that Jews killed Jesus (PBUH) because they rejected him as a Messiah; on the other hand, Christianity emerged from a core belief that Jews hate Christians because they are the followers of that Messiah who was declared as an illegitimate child of Bani Israel. This Judo Christian hatred continued during the times of Crusades, European dark ages and even in the era of renaissance but today in this era of globalzionation, we can see there is a clear indication of this alliance present in Europe and America.

The presence of CFR, NATO, Neoconservatives, Anti Defamation League and especially AIPAC (American Israeli Public Affairs Committee) the most sturdy lobby in Washington DC where the president of United States confirms in their annual meeting that existence of Israel is in the favor of US and any attack on Israel will be consider as an attack on US, these and many others evidences shows that future cannot be derived out of the pages of history every time because patterns can change, conspiracies are most likely to happen. How this is possible that two vicious enemies with such high intensify religious conflict have become such close companions that now the whole Muslim Ummah is facing their heat especially since 911. This Judo-Christian alliance is one of the most fascinating yet devastating concepts of 20th century and without the proper understanding it is not possible to undermine and defeat this control mechanism of Globalzionation.

Evangelism:

For last 1000 years, Zionist plan of taking over world’s economy by possessing real wealth like gold and silver, and replacing it with interest based economy was accomplished with the establishment of Bank of England in 1694. For inducting this virus on a global scale, during the industrial age, Federal Reserve Bank was established in 1914. Now Zionists all over the world were in a position to takeover any industry, corporations, government by creating money out of thin air and by injecting them into important institutions, they can manipulate and corrupt these institutes to such extent that desirable outcome can be derived. They also knew that somewhere in between to get people’s majority compliance with their ideology, they need religious support and only then people will accept Zionism as an acceptable and supportable philosophy. For this religious corruption Christianity was the perfect choice in which nothing special was required other than introducing another religious extension of this faith, another version of bible, another sect of Christianity, Evangelism.

Cyrus I Scofield presented a new form of Christianity in 1909 when he published a new version of bible. It was more precisely a new version of the King James Version of bible through which the need of spreading the word around arose which led to the origin of evangelism. Evangelism mainly revolves around spreading the gospel, following the footsteps of Jesus (PBUH) but it mainly restricts to that particular version of bible. There are several accounts present that indicate how Scofield was inspired or rather used by the secret brotherhood of illuminati, and Zionists to come up with such ideology of Christian Zionism.

The scheme was to alter the Christian view of Zionism by creating and promoting a pro-Zionist subculture within Christianity. Scofield’s role was to re-write the King James Version of the Bible by inserting Zionist-friendly notes in the margins, between verses and chapters, and on the bottoms of the pages. The Oxford University Press used Scofield, as the Editor, probably because it needed such a man on the front. The revised bible was called the Scofield Reference Bible, and with limitless advertising and promotion, it became best-selling “bible” in America and has remained so for 90 years.

The Scofield Reference Bible was not to be just another translation, subverting minor passages a little at a time. No, Scofield produced a revolutionary book that radically changed the context of the King James Version. It was designed to create a subculture around a new worship icon, the modern State of Israel, a state that did not yet exist, but which was already on the drawing boards of the committed, well-funded authors of World Zionism.

Scofield’s support came from a movement that took root around the turn of the century, supposedly motivated by disillusionment over what it considered the stagnation of the mainline American churches. Some of these “reformers” were later to serve on Scofield’s Editorial Committee. This vicious scheme of presenting the idea of Christianity where Jesus (PBUH) will come for the salvation of mankind only after the creation of Israel. That is exactly why the existence and stability of Israel is very important for these Judo-Christian Zionists.

The concept of Evangelism is the beginning of modern day religious manipulation where by manufacturing this belief of salvation through Jesus, which can only happen after the creation of Israel, Christians were forced to believe that they have to support the creation of Israel in the Holy Land and this unprecedented support for Jews is necessary. But since not many Christians were ready to take their enemies as friend and for them believing in the trinity is enough for their salvation, a pro-nationalist revolution was required to bring both the religious believers and nationalists on a same platform. This was the beginning of Neo-conservatives.

Neo-con Evangelical Christians Zionist:

In 1967 Leo Staruss, a German Jew who migrated to US in 1938 gave an idea of suppressing human desire for freedom. According to his beliefs, it’s the very basis of liberalism that leads human being to the ultimate chaos and thus keeping societies intact and in control by any means possible is the only solution. Strauss thought that most people are incapable of living their lives without a belief in God who would punish them for disobedience, and reward them for obedience. In order for the people to know what this God demanded of them, Strauss, being a student himself of the Twelfth Century influential Jewish leader Rabbi Maimonides, believed the best bet was to use the Hebrew Bible and the best way to direct people towards one goal is to give them an illusion of an unknown evil which in the times of cold war era was none other then Soviet Union.

The followers of this ideology, students of Leo Staruss became so powerful in few years that under the presidency of Ronald Reagan’s in 1981 they entered the White House and were now in a position to write policies that will be inline with the teachings of Leo Strauss. People like George Bush Senior, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz were ready to create evil forces across the globe for America so that by generating this threat mechanism of an unknown evil, American people will fall into this control mechanism, giving away their freedom for some un-known terror threat. It seems like the results of 1938 experiment of Alien attack threat were now ready for implementation.

This ideology of Leo Strauss was the basic fundamental behind neoconservatives and now Christian Zionists were ready to hit the world hard with their evil plan by presenting this as a religious ideology. It doesn’t sound strange to us that a secular ideology like Zionism is often confused with a religious ideology and the ideology behind neo-cons which is purely secular not to mention communist in nature has a biblical stamp on it. Yes neo-con is a religious ideology, a fulfillment of prophesy from the Book of Isaiah just like the prophecy behind the creation of Israel.

Proving religious book’s manipulation is an easy way to blame any religion which is not the scope of this article, its just that we don’t see the impact much often of these exploitations. Since 911, one can easily understand the real agenda behind the war on terror which is going on for so many years, where America is playing the role of the ultimate savior of the world destroying some unknown evil forces in the name of world peace. How did it happen? It’s just that we have stopped questioning anything anymore.

Combining neo-cons and evangelism, we now have a new name of this Judo-Christian alliance, the Neo-con Evangelical Christians Zionist, where every attack on Israel is considered an attack on America, where America is providing billions of dollar support to that illegitimate country every year which is to prepare itself for becoming the third super power of the world. The Neo-cons are hitting hard where it’s hurting and the globalzionation is prospering silently under the cover of ideologies like evangelism and neoconservatives.

Modern Zionism and its impact on Humanity:

Today we are witnessing the beast of globalzionation everywhere, from corporate logos to religious symbology, Fortune 500 to world stock exchange. One major aspect of globalization which we often praise is that we are linked in a global society where we share our thoughts, norms, values, culture, and so on, what we have failed to realize that those who can buy expensive footwear from some well known brand don’t share the same global values with the one who is making this pair with his bare hands in some obscured factory in the ruins of Indonesia earning 1 dollar a pair. This is where globalzionation comes in, to create a society where people become slaves of each other in some way and they all fall under the slavery of the Big Brother who is watching them from everywhere every time. This is just a repetitive assertion that today’s corporate world in under a massive influence of Judo-Christian Zionists comprising of Google, Coke, Starbucks, Levis, General Electric to name a few and the list goes on and on. They own the major brands, political parties, war manufacturer companies, oil and gold companies. They control the overall materialism of this world and if you are materialistic in nature, you should know that they are controlling you.

But why you don’t hear much about the brutality and evil that they are spreading? Well it’s because they own the world wide print and electronic media. Applying to Judo-Christianity hypothesis for the creation of Israel, they are putting their best efforts possible to provide maximum security and support to the State of Israel where different people want different outcomes from it. The Jewish Zionists are waiting for their true Messiah which will turn out to be the Antichrist for Christians and Christians on the other hand are waiting for the second coming of Prophet Jesus (PBUH) who will kill the Antichrist and provide salvation to the followers of Trinity. If that is the truth then think about the real reason behind the Judo-Christian alliance again and analyze that this alliance been made on the basis of friendship or a disaster which both of them are expecting. Think about who is using who and who is getting the real outcome, who they are fooling and how … think about the mind control experiment again which was mentioned in the beginning and you are free to make your own decision out of it.

Enlightenment is another form of misery, if you think you are enlightened enough, does not mean that it will end your misery. Think about it.

Future of Globalzionation:

Despite of this unreasonable marriage of two religious ideologies, Judo-Christian alliance is doing an immaculate job to take over Muslims throughout the world. Regardless of their efforts in destroying the caliphate in 1924, dividing it into 56 states, imposing their secular political doctrines, economy and social justices, bombarding western ideologies and values through global media and sabotaging the core values of religion Islam, they are now in a position to annihilate Muslim population from the course of this earth. The uniformity of globalzionation is such that today Muslim countries in majority are sharing same problems of self created diseases like global terrorism, energy crisis, food and water riots, economic recession and so on although these factors are now spread across the whole world but this is one of the cons of globalization that you share everything even if its chaos.

Their evil plan has now turned into a massive beast which is going to destroy this modern civilization. Take science and technology for example, in last 100 years mankind has developed ground breaking weapons of mass destruction. Weapons that can eliminate any country, piece of land in just a matter of minutes. Our technical advancements have now turned into a stream of undoable realities from which we want an escape. Television has turned out to be a tool of mass hypnosis; eugenics has become a weapon of mass genocide. Finding cure for polio and cancer and mankind is now a victim of HIV Aids.

It doesn’t mean that technology has only its negative and one should be against the technological advancement. The point which is very hard even for us to understand is that once we became the victim of technology, and now we are becoming the victim of our own creations. This is how we are getting used by these global elites for the advancement of their evil plan. We are bound by the system which we have created on our own and now we have nothing but guilt on the inside and justification on the outside that this is how it was supposed to be or simply “it’s not our fault”, “I am just another person doing the same thing, being content with it”. Everyone has their own justifications and seems like words are all we have to survive.

The fall of globalzionation is right around the corner and no one is optimistic about the year 2012, although I am not suggesting anything about this wackiest conspiracy but time will tell. The core of humanity is about to shift from the materialistic attributes of Satan and fall into the spiritual dimension of the true creator, that era is about to come. What is horrifying and troublesome for most of us is that the golden era can not come and prosper within today’s current social configuration where you have fake religious ideologies, interest based economy, unethical moral less society, corrupt political and judicial system and technology, majority of which is dedicated to control and manipulate the humanity to achieve global control rather than facilitate them for their prosperity.

This system has to go down, either by a meteor shower from some planet X, third world war which is expected to be a nuclear war, project HAARP generating more earthquakes and Tsunamis or a big fire in Yemen, only ALLAH(SWT) knows best, one thing is for sure though, that time will bring the end of globalzionation and the materialistic manipulation of human mind will end, there will be no fear related with desire and desire will only be respected by the will of ALLAH(SWT).

As Muslims we believe that death of globalzionation will bring the revival of Islamic Caliphate from which the golden era of prosperity will start. The time is near and as Allama Iqbal quotes “this civilization will die its own death” it’s just a matter of how and when but what is more important is to know that are you strong enough to take over this system, ready enough to replace it, enlightened enough to provide the alternates in the light of Quran and Sunnah and if you are not, are you striving for it? The question remains and the struggle continues.

by: Zemaad Khan

The fourth article of faith in Islam is to believe in the Prophets and Messengers of Allah (SWT). Approximately 124,000 Prophets have been sent and about 315 Messengers. It is an obligation to believe in all of them even if their stories have not been related to us.

In Arabic the word “Nubuwwah” means Prophethood and it is derived from the Arabic word “Naba’” which means “news”. Allah (SWT) says: “Declare (Nabbi) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.” (Al-Hijr: 49) And Allah (SWT) said: “…Then when he told her (Nabbhaa) about it, she said, ‘Who told (Anba’ka) you this?’ He said, ‘The All-Knower, The All-Aware (Allah) has told me (Nabba’anee).’” (At-Tahreem:3) So, the word “Naba’” is “news” and “Nabee” is the one who provides information about Allah. There is another opinion among some scholars regarding “Nabiyy (Prophet),” which is derived from “Nabwah” and “Nabaawah” that it refers to a high ground, meaning that the Prophets are honored over all other creatures.

The Arabic word “Rasool” is taken from the word “Irsaal” which means “to send” or “to direct towards”; or it is taken from “Rasal” which means “to follow successively.” The word “Rasal” is used to describe the milk of cows when it keeps on flowing. This means that a “Rasool” experiences divine inspiration descending upon him successively. A “Rasool” is one who is sent and follows up the news of the one who sent him with “Risaalah (Message).”

According to the Sharee’ah, the scholars have presented varying opinions with regards to the meaning of “Nabiyy” and “Rasool.” Most scholars agree that “Nubuwwah” is more general than “Risaalah”; thus every “Rasool” is a “Nabiyy”, but not every “Nabiyy” is a “Rasool.” The opinion toward which we incline is that a “Nabiyy” is one whom Allah (SWT) has informed about a previous Divine Law, sending him to warn the people to whom it applies. He may also be commanded to inform about specific matters, testaments, or exhortations. An example is that of the Prophets sent to the Israelites who were all followers of the Law (Torah) which was given to Moses (AS); and none of them came with a new law to abolish the Law (Torah). In this case, a Prophet is responsible for the restoration of the teachings of former Messengers. As for a “Rasool”, he is one whom Allah sent with a new law or Sharee’ah, commanding him to convey it to the people. This is regardless of whether that law is new in itself or to the people to whom he is sent. He may also come to abolish some legislations of the previous Sharee’ah.

Muslims believe that Allah (SWT) has sent to His servants, Messengers who were bringing good tidings and warning, so that mankind might have no argument against Allah after the Messengers. The first among the Messengers is Noah (AS) and the Last and Final Messenger is Muhammad (PBUH) as Allah (SWT) says: “We revealed to you as We revealed to Noah and the Prophets after him” (An-Nisa: 163); and “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets” (Al-Ahzaab: 40). The best among the Messengers is Muhammad, then Abraham, Moses, Noah, and Jesus, son of Mary. Allah says: “And (remember) when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you (Muhammad) and from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, son of Mary. We took from them a solemn covenant.” (Al-Ahzaab: 7). We believe that Muhammad’s (PBUH) Message, includes all the merits of the Messages of those dignified Messengers, because Allah says: “He ordained for you what He enjoined on Noah and what He revealed to you and what He enjoined on Abraham, Moses and Jesus; namely, establish this faith and be united in it.” (Ash-Shoora: 13)

It is important to know all Messengers are human beings who have none of the divine qualities of Allah (SWT). Allah, the Exalted, said about Noah, who was the first among them: “I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allah. I do not know the unseen, and I do not say that I am an angel…..” (Hood: 31) Allah (SWT) directed Muhammad, who is the last among them, to say: “I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, and I do not say to you that I am an angel” (Al-An’am: 50); and to say that “I have no power to bring profit or hurt for myself, but only as Allah wills” (Al-A’raf: 188); and: “I have no power to hurt or benefit you. Say none can protect me from Allah, nor can I find any refuge besides Him.” (Al-Jinn: 91-2). It is also important to know that the Messengers are among Allah’s servants. Allah (SWT) blessed them with the Message and described them as servants, in the context of praising and honoring them. He says about Noah, the first among them: “You are the descendants of those whom We carried with Noah, he was a truly thankful servant” (Al-Isra’: 3).

Allah (SWT) said about the last among them, Muhammad (PBUH): “Blessed be He who sent down the Qur’an to His servant, that he may warn mankind” (Al-Furqan: 1). Allah (SWT) said regarding other Messengers: “And mention Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, men of might and vision.” (Sad: 45); “And remember Our servant David, who was a mighty and repentant man.” (Sad: 17); “And to David, We gave Solomon, he was an excellent and repentant servant.” (Sad: 30); Regarding Jesus, son of Mary: “He is only a servant whom We blessed and We made him an example to the children of Israel.” (Az-Zukhruf: 59). Allah (SWT) concluded all Messages with the Message of Muhammad (PBUH) to all people, because He said: “Say, ‘O mankind, I am Allah’s Messenger to you all. To him belongs the Kingdom of the Heavens and the Earth; there is no god but He. He ordains life and death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet who believes in Allah and His words. Follow him so that you may be rightly guided.”‘ (Al-A’raf: 158).

Muslims believe that the Sharee’ah of Muhammad (PBUH) is the religion of Islam, which Allah (SWT) has chosen for His servants. He does not accept any other religion from anyone, for He, the Exalted, said: “Surely, the true religion in Allah’s sight is Islam” (Ale-‘Imran: 19); “…..Today I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed My favour upon you, and I have chosen Islam to be your religion.” (Al-Ma’idah: 3); “Whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from Him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.” (Al-Ma’idah: 85). Whoever rejects the Universal Message (the Qur’an) of Muhammad (PBUH) rejects the Message of all the Messengers. Allah, the Exalted, said: “Noah’s people rejected the Messengers.” (Ash-Shu’aara: 105). Thus, Allah (SWT) considered them as rejecting all of the Messengers despite the fact that there was no Messenger before Noah. This is also clear from the following verses: “Those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers, and wish to make division between Allah and His Messengers, and say: ‘We believe in some and disbelieve in others,’ wishing to take a midway course. Those indeed are the unbelievers, and We have prepared for the unbelievers a humiliating punishment.” (An-Nisa: 150-51). Muhammad (PBUH) is the Last of the Prophets, no Prophet shall come after him and whoever claims Prophethood after him is either an imposter or a liar.

by: Zemaad Khan

A major misconception that many non-Muslims have about Islam is the word ‘Allah’. They believe that Allah is the God of the Muslims only, this is totally false. We Muslims believe that Allah is the Lord of all Creation, everything in the Heavens above, on the Earth and whatever is in between belongs to Him. ‘Allah’ is simply the Arabic word for ‘God’ – and we Muslims believe that there is only One God. Let there be no doubt – We Muslims worship the God of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon, John and Jesus the son of Mary (peace be upon them all) and many others. It is important to note that ‘Allah’ is the same word that Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews use for God. If you pick up an Arabic Bible, you will see the word ‘Allah’ being used where ‘God’ is used in English

To say that Muslims worship a different ‘God’ because they say ‘Allah’ is just as illogical as saying that French people worship another God because they use the word “Dieu”, or that Spanish-speaking people worship a different God because they say “Dios”, etc. This sort of reasoning sounds quite ridiculous!

An amazing aspect of the word ‘Allah’ is that it is pure and unique. We Muslims prefer calling God; by the Arabic name ‘Allah’, instead of the English word ‘God’. Whereas the English word ‘God’ can be played around with; for example if you add an ‘s’ to ‘God’, it becomes ‘Gods’ – plural of God. There is nothing ‘Plural Allah’, in Islam. If you add a ‘dess’ to ‘God’, it becomes ‘goddess’ – a female God. There is nothing like ‘Male Allah’, or ‘Female Allah’, in Islam as He has no gender. If you add a ‘father’ to ‘God’, it becomes ‘Godfather’ – People say that ‘he’s my Godfather – he’s my Guardian’. There is nothing like ‘Allah Father’ in Islam, or ‘Allah Abba’ in Islam. If you add a ‘Mother’ to God, it becomes ‘Godmother’. There is nothing like ‘Allah Mother’ or ‘Allah Ammi’ in Islam. But if Muslims use the word ‘God’ while speaking to non-Muslims then there is no objection as many non-Muslims don’t know the word ‘Allah’ (but it is appropriate to use Allah)

More importantly, it should also be noted that the Arabic word ‘Allah’ contains a deep religious message due to its root meaning and origin. This is because it stems from the Arabic verb ‘alaha’, which means ‘to be worshipped’. Thus in Arabic, the word ‘Allah’ means ‘The One who deserves all worship’. This, in a nutshell, is the Pure Monotheistic message of Islam. Therefore, it should be noted, that Islam is a Semitic Religion. The Semitic Religions are those Religions that are followed by the Semites. The Semites are the descendents of ‘Shem’, who was the son of the Prophet Noah (Peace be upon him) which is mentioned in the Bible, in the book Genesis, Ch. No. 5 and Ch. No. 11. So Semitic Religions are those Religions that are followed by the Jews, by the Arabs, by the Assyrians, etc. – who speak some of the most ancient languages such as Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, Acadian, etc.

I would like you (the reader) to understand the concept we Muslims have about Allah. The Most concise definition of God in Islam is given in four verses of Chapter 112 (Surah Ikhlaas – Chapter of Purity) in the Qur’an:

1. “Say: He is Allah, The One and Only (This means that He is absolutely One and He has no partners or equals).

2. Allah, The Eternal, Absolute (This means ‘Absolute Existence’, which can only be attributed to Allah; all other existence is temporal or conditional. This also means that Allah is not dependent on any person or thing but all persons and things are dependent on Him).

3. He begets not, nor is He begotten (This means that He does not have children nor was He born, Allah has no beginning and He has no end).

4. And there is none like unto Him.” (This means that there is nothing comparable unto Him).

We Muslims call these four verses the Touchstone of Theology. ‘Theo’ in Greek means God – ‘Logy’ means study. ‘Theology’ means the study of God. Any person or candidate to divinity must be subject to this test. Since the attributes of Allah given in this Chapter are unique, false gods and pretenders to divinity can be easily dismissed using these verses.

One way of understanding who Allah is; is by understanding His attributes. In the Qur’an, 99 attributes are given to Almighty God (this does not mean that we Muslims believe in 99 gods, these are not separate entities, but they are His attributes and they belong to Him) which includes names such as The Rabb (The Lord, Sustainer, Cherisher), The One, The Most Beneficent, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful, The Most Generous, The Most Glorious, The Most High, The King, The Sovereign, The Holy One, The Creator, The All-Hearer, The All-Seer, The All-Wise, The All-Knower of the Seen and the Unseen, The All-Aware, The Forgiver, The Just, The Disposer of All-Affairs, The Exalted in Power and Might, etc. To Allah belong the Most Beautiful Names. All of these 99 attributes are like pearls in a necklace with the Crowning Glory: ‘ALLAH’. Therefore, you can call Allah by any name that is beautiful and that does not conjure up a mental picture.

I would like to address this idea of God coming to Earth in the form of a man. This theory of God becoming a human being is called ‘Anthropomorphism’. We in Islam believe that God can do whatever He Wills but does this mean that He would take human form? Let’s see – If God were to take human form then He would cease to be God. We know that man is mortal and God is immortal. You can’t have a mortal and immortal person at the same time. Man has a beginning but God has no beginning. You can’t have a person who has a beginning and no beginning at the same time. Man has an end but God has no end. So you can’t have a person, having an end and no end at the same time. Man requires food to eat as a basic necessity but God does not require food to eat. Man requires sleep and rest otherwise the body would collapse but God does not require sleep nor slumber. It doesn’t make any sense. So you can’t have a ‘God-man’. Allah has power over all things, and He only does things that are Godly and will never do things that are ungodly.

So how does God communicate with us? God communicates with Mankind by sending Revelations to His Prophets and Messengers, and they are the ones who speak on behalf of God. We Muslims believe that the Last and Final Message to Mankind is the Holy Qur’an which was revealed to His Last and Final Messenger – Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him). God Willing, in the near future, I will explain to you why the Qur’an is truly the Word of God and who the Prophet Muhammad was (a person who unfortunately has been misunderstood by many non-Muslims).

What I have explained to you is but a fraction of who Allah is! Sadly I have to be brief otherwise this message would go on.

I would like to conclude this message with the Most Beautiful Verse of the Holy Qur’an:

“Allah! None has the right to be worshipped but He, The Ever-Living, The Self-Subsisting, Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the Heavens and whatever is on the Earth. Who is there that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He Knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He Wills. His Kursi (Footstool) extends over the Heavens and the Earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, The Most Great, Supreme (in Glory).” (Chapter 2, Verse 255)

by: Harun Yahya

In every age, people have always wondered how this seamless universe originated. Where it leads to? How are the laws maintaining its order and balance? For centuries, scientists and thinkers have made numerous researches on this issue and produced quite a few theories. The prevailing thought in the 19th century was that the universe was a collection of matter infinite in size, that existed since eternity and that would continue to exist forever. This laid the groundwork for the materialist philosophy, where this view denied the existence of a Creator, while it maintained that the universe had neither a beginning nor an end.

Materialism is a system of thought that holds matter to be the only absolute being and denies the existence of anything else. Having its roots in ancient Greece and gaining an ever-increasing acceptance in the 19th century, this system of thought became famous in the shape of the dialectical materialism of Karl Marx. The materialists considered the infinite universe model to be the most important mainstay of their atheist philosophies.

For instance, in his book “Principes Fondamentaux de Philosophie”, the materialist philosopher George Politzer claimed that “the universe was not a created object” and added “If it were created, it would have to be created by God instantaneously and from nothingness”. When Politzer alleged that the universe was not created out of nothingness, he was relying on the static universe model of the 19th century, and thinking that he was posing a scientific claim.

However, science and technology that developed in the 20th century ultimately pulled down this primitive idea called materialism. It was found that the universe is not constant as the materialists supposed, and just to the contrary, it keeps expanding. Besides, it was proven with many observations and calculations that the universe had a beginning and that it was created out of nothing with a big explosion.

In 1929, in the California Mount Wilson observatory, an American astronomer by the name of Edwin Hubble made one of the greatest discoveries in the history of astronomy. While he observed the stars with a giant telescope, he found out that they emitted a reddish light depending on their distance. This meant that the stars were “moving away” from us. Because, according to the recognized rules of physics, the spectra of light beams traveling towards the point of observation tend towards violet, while the spectra of light beams moving away from the point of observation tend towards red. During Hubble’s observations, the light from stars was discovered to tend towards red. This meant that they were constantly moving away from us. Before long, Hubble made another very important discovery: Stars and galaxies moved away not only from us, but also from one another. The only conclusion that could be derived from a universe where everything moves away from everything else is that the universe constantly “expands”.

In fact, this had been theoretically discovered even earlier Albert Einstein, who is considered the greatest scientist of the 20th century, had concluded after the calculations he made in theoretical physics that the universe could not be static. However, he had laid his discovery to rest, simply not to conflict with the widely recognized static universe model of his time. Later on, Einstein was to identify his act as ‘the greatest mistake of his career’.

What did the expansion of the universe imply? The expansion of the universe implied that if it could travel backwards in time, the universe would prove to have originated from a single point. The calculations showed that this ‘single point’ that harbored all the matter of the universe should have ‘zero volume’ and ‘infinite density’. The universe had come about by the explosion of this single point with zero volume. This great explosion that marked the beginning of the universe was named the ‘Big Bang’ and the theory started to be so called. It has to be stated that ‘zero volume’ is a theoretical expression used for descriptive purposes. Science can define the concept of ‘nothingness’, which is beyond the limits of human comprehension, only by expressing it as ‘a point with zero volume’. In truth, ‘a point with no volume’ means ‘nothingness’. Thus the universe has come into being from nothingness. In other words, it was CREATED. This fact, which was discovered by modern physics only in the 20th century, was stated in the Qur’an 14 centuries ago:

“He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth” [Chapter 6 (Al-An’am), Verse: 101]

The Big Bang theory showed that in the beginning all the objects in the universe were of one piece and then were parted. This fact, which was revealed by the Big Bang theory was again, stated in the Qur’an 14 centuries ago, when people had a very limited knowledge about the universe:

“Have not those who disbelieve known that the Heavens and the Earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? (Chapter 21 (Al-Anbiya), Verse: 30)

This is meant that the entire matter was created with a Big Bang out of a single point, and shaped the present universe by being parted from each other.

The expansion of the universe is one of the most important pieces of evidence that the universe was created out of nothing. Although this fact was not discovered by science until the 20th century, ALLAH (SWT) has informed us of this reality in the Qur’an revealed 1,400 years ago:

“It is We who have built the universe with (Our creative) power, and, verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it.” (Chapter 51 (Adh-Dhariyat), Verse: 47)

The Big Bang was an evident indication that the universe was ‘created from nothing’, in other words, that it was created by ALLAH (SWT). For this reason, astronomers committed to the materialist philosophy continued to resist the Big Bang and uphold the idea of the infinite universe. The reason for this effort was revealed in the words of Arthur Eddington, one of the foremost materialist physicists that ‘Philosophically, the notion of an abrupt beginning to the present order of Nature is repugnant to me.’

Another materialist, the prominent English astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle was one of foremost who were disturbed by the Big Bang theory. In the middle of the century, Hoyle championed a theory called the steady-state which was similar to the ‘constant universe’ approach of the 19th century. The steady-state theory argued that the universe was both infinite in size and eternal in duration.

With the sole visible aim of supporting the materialist philosophy, this theory was totally at variance with the ‘Big Bang’ theory, which held that the universe had a beginning. Those who defended the steady-state theory opposed the Big Bang for a long time. Science, however, was working against them. In 1948, George Gamov came up with another idea concerning the Big Bang. He stated that after the formation of the universe by a big explosion, a radiation surplus should have existed in the universe left over from this explosion. Moreover, this radiation ought to be uniformly diffused across the universe. This evidence which ‘ought to have existed’ was soon to be found.

In 1965, two researchers by the name of Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson discovered these waves by chance. This radiation, called the ‘cosmic background radiation’, did not seem to radiate from a particular source but rather pervaded the whole of space. Thus it was understood that this radiation was left over from the initial stages of the Big Bang. Penzias and Wilson were awarded a Nobel Prize for their discovery. In 1989, NASA sent the Cosmic Background Explorer (COBE) satellite into space to do research on cosmic background radiation. It took only eight minutes for COBE to verify Penzias and Wilson’s calculations. The COBE had found the remains of the big explosion that had taken place at the outset of the universe. Defined as the greatest astronomic discovery of all times, this finding explicitly proved the Big Bang theory.

Another important piece of evidence for the Big Bang was the amount of hydrogen and helium in space. In the researches, it was understood that the hydrogen-helium concentration in the universe complied with the theoretical calculations of the hydrogen-helium concentration remaining from the Big Bang. If the universe had no beginning and if it had existed since eternity, its hydrogen constituent should have already been completely consumed and converted to helium. All of this compelling evidence caused the Big Bang theory to be embraced by the scientific community. The Big Bang model was the latest point reached by science concerning the origin of the universe. The Big Bang took place with the explosion of the point which contained all the matter and energy of the universe and its dispersion into space in all directions with a terrifying speed. Out of this matter and energy, there came about a great balance containing galaxies, stars, the sun, the earth and all other heavenly bodies.

Moreover, laws were formed called the ‘laws of physics’, which are uniform throughout the whole universe and do not change. The laws of physics that emerged together with the Big Bang did not change at all over a period of 15 billion years. Furthermore, these laws stand on calculations so scrupulous that even a millimeter’s variation from their current values could result in the destruction of the whole structure and configuration of the universe. All these indicate that a perfect order arose after the Big Bang.

Explosions, however, do not bring about order. All of the observable explosions tend to harm, disintegrate, and destroy what is present. If we were to be introduced to a very detailed order after an explosion we then might conclude that there was an ‘intelligent intervention behind this explosion and that all the pieces dispersed by the explosion had been made to move in a very controlled way. The quote from Sir Fred Hoyle, who finally had to accept the theory after many years of opposition to the Big Bang Theory, expresses this situation very well:

“The big bang theory holds that the universe began with a single explosion. Yet as can be seen, an explosion merely throws matter apart, while the big bang has mysteriously produced the opposite effect – with matter clumping together in the form of galaxies. No doubt, if a great order arose with an explosion, then it should be accepted that the intervention of a Creator is involved in every moment of this explosion.”

Another aspect of this extraordinary order formed in the universe following the Big Bang is the creation of a ‘habitable universe’. The conditions for the formation of a habitable planet are so many and so complex that it is impossible to think that this formation is coincidental. Paul Davies, a renowned professor of theoretical physics, stated, at the end of the calculations he made on the expansion rate of the universe, that this rate is inconceivably delicate. Davis says:

“Careful measurement puts the rate of expansion very close to a critical value at which the universe will just escape its own gravity and expand forever. A little slower and the cosmos would collapse, a little faster and the cosmic material would have long ago completely dispersed. The big bang was not, evidently, any old bang, but an explosion of exquisitely arranged magnitude.” (Superforce, 1984, p.184)

The famous physicist Prof. Stephen Hawking states in his book ‘A Brief History of Time’, that the universe is set on calculations and balances more finely tuned than we can conceive. Hawking states with reference to the rate of expansion of the universe:

“If the rate of expansion one second after the big bang had been smaller by even one part in a hundred thousand million, the universe would have re-collapsed before it ever reached its present size.” (Stephen Hawking, A Brief History of Time, 1988, s.121)

In relation to the same fact, an American professor of Astronomy, George Greenstein, writes in his book The Symbiotic Universe: “As we survey all the evidence, the thought insistently arises that some supernatural agency must be involved.” (Hugh Ross. The Creator and the Cosmos. Colorado Springs, CO: Nav-Press, 1993, pp. 114-15)

With the Big Bang’s victory, the myth of ‘eternal matter’ that constituted the basis of the materialist philosophy is thrown into the trash-heap of history. What, then, was before the Big Bang and what was the power that brought the universe into ‘being’ with this big explosion when it was ‘non-existent’? This question certainly implies, in Arthur Eddington’s words, the ‘philosophically repugnant’ fact for the materialists, that is, the existence of a Creator.

The renowned atheist philosopher Antony Flew comments on the issue: “Notoriously, confession is good for the soul. I will therefore begin by confessing that the Stratonician atheist has to be embarrassed by the contemporary cosmological consensus. For it seems that the cosmologists are providing a scientific proof, that the universe had a beginning.” (Henry Margenau and Roy Abraham Varghese, eds., Cosmos, Bios, Theos, La Salle, IL: Open Court Publishing, 1992, p. 241)

Many scientists who do not blindly condition themselves to be atheists have admitted the role of an Almighty Creator in the creation of the universe. This Creator must be a being Who has created both matter and time, yet Who is independent of both.

Well-known astrophysicist Hugh Ross has this to say: “If time’s beginning is concurrent with the beginning of the universe, as the space-theorem says, then the cause of the universe must be some entity operating in a time dimension completely independent of and pre-existent to the time dimension of the cosmos.” (Hugh Ross, Ph.D., The Creator and the Cosmos, Navpress, 1995, p. 76)

This conclusion tells us that God is not the universe itself, nor is God contained within the universe. Yes, matter and time are created by the Almighty Creator Who is independent of all these notions. This Creator is ALLAH (SWT), Who is the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth.

Briefly, when we examine the glorious system in the universe, we see that the existence of the universe and its workings rest on extremely delicate balances and an order too complex to be explained away by coincidental causes. As is evident, it is by no means possible for this delicate balance and order to have been formed on its own and by coincidence after a great explosion. The formation of such an order following an explosion such as the Big Bang is a clear evidence of a supernatural creation. This matchless plan and order in the universe certainly proves the existence of a Creator with infinite knowledge, might and wisdom, Who has created matter from nothing and Who controls and manages it incessantly. This Creator is ALLAH (SWT), the Lord of all the Worlds.

“It is He who created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): the day He saith, “Be,” behold! it is. His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown. He knoweth the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise, well acquainted (with all things) ” (Chapter 6 (Al-An’am), Verse: 73)

by: Abdullah Naeem Malik

“Allah has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them successors in the earth as He made successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish f or them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear; they will worship Me. Then who so is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious”. (Ch. 24: 56).

The Khilafat, or Caliphate, which we as a group have agreed to write as for the sake of English, is not alien to most people. Its syllable, ‘kha-la-fa’, literally means representative. The Caliphate has three important dimensions. In the moral and spiritual sense, Caliphate means that all human beings are caliphs of Allah’ or representatives of Allah on earth. This is the purport of the verse “Surely, we are going to place our representatives (Khalifa) on earth”[1]. All human beings are caliphs of Allah though many of them commit sins and do not act like a caliph[2]. This is the spiritual Caliphate in Islam. The second and the most mentioned caliphate also means the political system of Islam. Caliphate, as a system of politics and management of state was established by the companions of Prophet, may peace be upon him . The third dimension of Caliphate is that it means the form of Government in Islam. The Ulema have now agreed by and large that in the framework of overall Islamic political theory, both Presidential and Parliamentary Governments of to-day are consistent with Islam. The project will not cover on the spiritual aspect and will focus on the second two types of caliphate systems.

The topic was selected because present democratic ways of thinking lead people to an inquiring study of the institution of Caliphate in Islam which emerges as a unique religio‑political system while meeting the electoral aspirations of the people and at the same time giving religious sanctity.

There are several distinctive features of the seat of the Caliphate: -

1. Election. As Caliphate in those early days was political as well as religious, it was decided by the believers that the election should be held by the companions of the Holy Prophet, who knew the faith well, and also, the person who was well versed in it. It is possible to have different rules regarding elections, according to different times, and had Caliphate continued after the life‑time of the companions they would certainly have given consideration to the devising of relevant methods. The point however is that Caliphate is elective and the method of election has been left open to believers.

2. Sharia. A Calpih is under the yoke of Sharia (Law). He can reject the counsel of his advisers but he cannot ignore the laws of Sharia. Thus, although he is a constitutional head, he is not absolutely free.

3. Consultation. In addition to the control of Sharia, the Caliph is subject to consultations as well. In all important matters he is bound to consult his colleagues and to follow their advice as far as possible.

4. Morals. Since a Caliph is the religious head as well as the leader of obligatory prayers, he feels morally and sub‑consciously obliged to lead a righteous path but this situation does not apply to a political leader, whether elected or not.

5. Equality. A Khalifa is equal to other fellow beings in human rights. He can secure his rights through the judicial system just as people can obtain their rights from him through the same process.

6. Non‑political. He is not aligned to any political party and his position is that of a father. It is the duty of an adjudicator to do so with justice i.e. a person in the position of Khalifa should exercise complete justice, leaning neither to an individual nor to a party [3]

7. Non-dictatorial. Since there is the concept of Majlis-e-Shura, there is no doubt that the caliph has not the sole authority. He has the power to amend or reject an opinion as per the need of time. However, the central authority still remains one – Shariah.

8. Accountable. After assuming the office of Caliphate Abu Bakr’s first address was as follow:

“I have been given the authority over you, and I am not the best of you. If I do well, help me; and if I do wrong, set me right. Sincere regard for truth is loyalty and disregard for truth is treachery. The weak amongst you shall be strong with me until I have secured his rights, if God wills; and the strong amongst you shall be weak with me until I have wrested from him the rights of others, if God wills. Obey me so long as I obey God and His Messenger. But if I disobey God and His Messenger, ye owe me no obedience. Arise for your prayer, God have mercy upon you.”

As a study, however, only the period of Hazrat Abu Bakr to Hazrat Imam Hassan, i.e. the age from 12 A.H. to 41 A.H., will be considered since it was these periods that were majorly free from tribulations with the correct approach, as accepted by most historians and ulemas alike. Since this is the subject of International Relations, the contemporary world will be highlighted, viewing it from the Caliphate frame of reference.

The Caliphate as a whole will be studied in three categories viz. the policies of the Caliph, how he implements them and the Caliph himself.

Character

The character of the caliphs chosen for study will be highlighted briefly.

Abu Bakr:

William Muir states that Abu Bakr’s judgment was sound and impartial; his conversation agreeable and his demeanor affable and much sought after by the Quraysh and he was popular throughout the city. The faith of Abu Bakr was the greatest guarantee of Muhammad’s sincerity in the beginning of his career, and indeed, in a modified sense, throughout his life. To have such a person as a staunch adherent of his claim, was for Muhammad a most important step.” [4]

William Montgomery Watt writes, “From 622 [AD] to 632 [AD] he (Abu Bakr) was Mohammed’s chief adviser, but had no prominent public functions except that he conducted the pilgrimage to Mecca in 631, and led the public prayers in Medina during Mohammed’s last illness.”[5]

Umer Farooq:

“Hadrat’ Umar (R.A.) appointed Hadrat Ali (R.A.) as his deputy and went to Jerusalem with his slave. They were having one camel on which each of them rode by turn. When Hadrat Umar (R.A.) was entering Jerusalem it happened to be the slave’s turn to ride on the camel. Though the slave offered his turn to the “Khalifah” but Hadrat Umar refused and remarked: ‘The honor of Islam (i.e., being Muslim) is enough for all of us.’ He entered Jerusalem holding the rope of the camel on which was riding his slave. His clothes were dirty and there were several patches on them.” [6]

Usman bin Affan:

“Every Prophet will have a special companion of Him in the Heaven, and my companion there will be Usman.” [8]

Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessing be upon him, married His daughter Hazrat Ruqqiya R.A. with Hazrat Usman Ghani R.A. When she died Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessing be upon him, said: It is the order of ALLAH to marry her sister (Ruqqiya’s) Um-e-Kalsoom with Usman. So Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessing be upon him, married her with Usman Ghani R.A. When she died, Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessing be upon him, said: “If I would have another daughter, I would have also married her with Usman.”[9]

Ali bin Abi Talib:

Edward Gibbon stated, “The zeal and virtue of Ali were never outstripped by any recent proselyte. He united the qualifications of a poet, a soldier, and a saint; his wisdom still breathes in a collection of moral and religious sayings; and every antagonist, in the combats of the tongue or of the sword, was subdued by his eloquence and valor. From the first hour of his mission to the last rites of his funeral, the apostle was never forsaken by a generous friend, whom he delighted to name his brother, his vicegerent, and the faithful Aaron of a second Moses” [10] while, Sir William Muir mentions, Ali was

“Endowed with a clear intellect, warm in affection, and confiding in friendship, he was from the boyhood devoted heart and soul to the Prophet. Simple, quiet, and un-ambitious, when in after days he obtained the rule of half of the Moslem world, it was rather thrust upon him than sought.[11]

The poet Kahlil Gibran said of him: “In my view, Alī was the first Arab to have contact with and converse with the universal soul. He died a martyr of his greatness, he died while prayer was between his two lips. The Arabs did not realize his value until appeared among their Persian neighbors some who knew the difference between gems and gravels.”

Imam Hassan:

Once, he was asked: “We do not see you disappoint a beggar. Why?”

He replied: “I am asking Allah for His favors, and I love to be near Him. I am ashamed, as I am myself in need of Allah, to repulse a beggar. Allah got me used to a habit; to shower me with His bounties, and I get Him used to me showering His bounties on the people. I fear that should I stop my habit, He may stop His habit.”

In short, all the Caliphs we have pointed out were on the highest of virtues and character. They were aptly entitled to be the leader and a symbol of the Ummah.

Policies and Implementation

There is a lot of literature already available. The project will not suffice to inform every single policy the first five caliphs made. However, certain extractions will suffice for this section as written below:

“Yet the abstinence and humility of Umar were not inferior to the virtues of Abu Bakr: his food consisted of barley bread or dates; his drink was water; he preached in a gown that was torn or tattered in twelve places; and a Persian satrap, who paid his homage as to the conqueror, found him asleep among the beggars on the steps of the mosque of Muslims. [7] Economy is the source of liberality, and the increases of the revenue enabled Umar to establish a just and perpetual reward for the past and present services of the faithful. Careless of his own emolument, he assigned to Abbas, the uncle of the Prophet, the first and most ample allowance of twenty-five thousand dirhams of pieces of silver. Five thousand were allotted to each of the aged warriors The relics of the field of Badr and the last and the meanest of the companions of Mohammad was distinguished by the annual reward of three thousand pieces. Under his reign and that of his predecessors, the conquerors of the East were the trusty servants of God and the people; the mass of public treasure was consecrated to the expenses of peace and war; a prudent mixture of justice and bounty maintained the discipline of the Saracens, and then united, by a rare felicity, the dispatch and execution of despotism with the equal and frugal maxims of a republican government.” [13]

“Simple and frugal in manner the energetic and talented Umar (634-644) who was of towering height, strong physique and bald headed, continued at least for some time after becoming the Caliph to support himself by trade and lived throughout his life in a style as unostentatious as that of a Bedouin Sheikh. In fact, Umar, whose name according to Muslim tradition is the greatest in early Islam after that of Mohammad [may peace be upon him], has been idolized by Muslim writers for his piety, justice and patriarchal simplicity and treated as the personification of all the virtues a Caliph ought to possess. His irreproachable character became an exemplar for all conscientious successors to follow. He owned, we are told, one shirt and one mantle only, both conspicuous for their patchwork, slept on a bed of palm leaves, and had no concern other than the maintenance of the purity of the faith, the upholding of justice and the ascendancy and security of Islam and the Arabians. Arabic literature is replete with anecdotes extolling Umar’s stern character. He is said to have scourged his own son to death for drunkenness. Having in a fit of anger inflicted a number of stripes on a Bedouin who came seeking his succor against an oppressor, the Caliph soon repented and asked the Bedouin to inflict the same number on him. But the latter refused. So Umar retired to his home with the following soliloquy: ‘O son of Al-Khattab humble thou wert and Allah has elevated thee, thou went astray, and Allah hath guided thee; thou were weak, and Allah hath strengthened thee. Then He caused thee to rule over the necks of thy people, and when one of them came seeking thy aid thou didst strike him! What wilt thou have to say to thy Lord when thou presentest thyself before Him’. The one who fixed the Hijrah as the commencement of the Muslim era, presided over the conquest of large portions of the then known world, instituted the state register and organized the government of the new empire, met a tragic and sudden death at the very zenith of his life when he was struck down by the poisoned dagger of a Christian Persian slave in the midst of his own congregation.” [14]

“To Umar’s ten years’ Caliphate belong, for the most part, the great conquests. He himself did not take the field, but remained in Medina; he never, however, suffered the reins to slip from his grasp, so powerful was the influence of his personality and the Muslim community of feeling. His political insight is shown by the fact that he endeavored to limit the indefinite extension of Muslim conquest, to maintain and strengthen the national Arabian character of the commonwealth of Islam; also by making it his foremost task to promote law and order in its internal affairs. The saying with which he began his reign will never grow antiquated: ‘By God, he that is weakest among you shall be in my eye the strongest, until I have vindicated for him his rights; he that is strongest I will treat as the weakest, until he complies with the law’. It would be impossible to give a better general definition of the function of the State.” [15]

Saeed M Mohtsham cites from Caliph Umar’s rule in his research paper Vision and Visionary Leadership – An Islamic Perspective:

“He used to monitor very closely the public policy and had kept the needs of the public central to his leadership approach. As second caliph of Islam, he refused to chop off the hands of the thieves because he felt he had fallen short of his responsibility to provide meaningful employment to all his subjects. As a ruler of a vast kingdom, His vision was to ensure that every one in his kingdom should sleep on a full stomach.

(Umar)

He also knew that just having a vision is not enough unless it is supported by effective strategies. He didn’t only have a vision; he truly transformed his vision into actions. For example, to ensure that nobody sleeps hungry in his empire, he used to walk through the streets almost every night to see if there is any one needy or ill.”[16]

In 641, before the conquest of Persian empire, Umar is reported to have said:

Umar RA is reported to have left the following testament:

Be kind and generous to the Muhajirun and the Ansar. Those out of them who are good, be good to them; those who are bad overlook their lapses. Be good to the people of the conquered lands. They are the outer line of our defense; they are the target of the anger and distress of our enemies. They contribute to our revenues. They should be taxed only on their surplus wealth. Be gracious to the Bedouins as they are the backbone of the Arab nation. I instruct you to be good to the Dhimmis for they are your responsibility. Do not tax them beyond their capacity. Ensure that they pay the Jizya without undue inconvenience. Fear God, and in all that you do keep His pleasure in view. In the matter of people fear God, and in the matter of Allah do not be afraid of the people. With regard to the people, I enjoin upon you to administer justice with an even hand. See that all the legitimate requirements of the people are met. Be concerned for their welfare. Ensure the safety of their person and property. See that the frontiers of our domains are not violated. Take strong steps to guard the frontiers. In the matter of administration do not prefer the rich to the poor. Be hard against those who violate the law. Show them no mercy. Do not rest content until you have brought the miscreants to book. Treat all the people as equal. Be a pillar of strength for those who are weak and oppressed. Those who are strong but do wrong, make them pay for their wrong-doings. In the distribution of booty and other matters be above nepotism. Let no consideration of relationship or selfish interest weigh with you. The Satan is at large; it may tempt you. Rise above all temptations and perform your duties in accordance with the injunctions of Islam. Get guidance from the Holy Quran and Sunnah. Freely consult the wise men around you. Apply your own mind in difficult cases, and seek light from God. Be simple in your living and your habits. Let there be no show or ostentation about you. Lead life as a model Muslim. As you are the leader of the Muslims, justify your leadership by being the best among them all. May God bless you.

Dr. Wilferd Madelung in his book The Succession to Muhammad summarizing Umar’s contribution. [17]:

Umar judged the outcome of the Saqifa assembly to be a falta [translated by Madelung as 'a precipitate and ill-considered deal'[17]] because of the absence of most of the prominent Muhajirun, including the Prophet’s own family and clan, whose participation he considered vital for any legitimate consultation (shura, mashwara). It was, he warned the community, to be no precedent for the future. Yet he also defended the outcome, claiming that the Muslims were longing for Abu Bakr as for no one else. He apologized, moreover, that the Muhajirun present were forced to press for an immediate oath of allegiance since the Ansar could not have been trusted to wait for a legitimate consultation and might have proceeded to elect one of their own after the departure of the Mekkans. Another reason for Umar to censure the Saqifa meeting as a falta was no doubt its turbulent and undignified end, as he and his followers jumped upon the sick Khazraji leader Sa’d bin Ubada in order to teach him a lesson, if not to kill him, for daring to challenge the sole right of Quraysh to rule. This violent break-up of the meeting indicates, moreover, that the Ansar cannot all have been swayed by the wisdom and eloquence of Abu Bakr’s speech and have accepted him as the best choice for the succession, as suggested by Caetani. There would have been no sense in beating up the Khazraji chief if everybody had come around to swearing allegiance to Umar’s candidate. A substantial number of the Ansar, presumably of Khazraj in particular, must have refused to follow the lead of the Muhajirun. [17] .

Modern World

International Relations:

The Caliphate does not go to war based on lies and deceit. Its sole purpose in fighting a war is to remove injustice and bring a new system for the people to live under. Although America and Britain cited the same objectives in Iraq the reality is far from this. Their use of depleted uranium, torturing and killing of civilians and imposition of another corrupt system would never happen with the Caliphate. Historically the Caliphate won the hearts and minds of the people on the lands it occupied. It never mistreated them and as opposed to an Empire, it didn’t impoverish them in order to enrich the capital.

In the classical book ‘Kitab Al-Kharaj’ Abu Yusuf gives the following report:

After getting on peaceful terms with the people of Syria and collecting the dues of the Jizya and the Kharaj, news reached Abu ‘Ubeida that the Byzantines had amassed their troops to attack him. The effect of this was great on Abu ‘Ubeida and the Muslims. He sent messages to the rulers of cities with whose citizens he had made peace, asking them to return to their subjects the paid dues of the Jizya and Kharaj with an instruction to tell them: ‘We hereby return to you the money you have paid us, because of the news of the enemy troops amassed to attack us, but, if God grants us victory against the enemy, we will keep up to the promise and covenant between us.’ When this was delivered to the dhimmi and their money returned to them, they told the Muslims: ‘May God bring you back to us and grant you victory over them!’

The Caliphate’s army must follow strict rules of engagement when fighting war (jihad). The soldiers do not fight the enemy out of anger or hatred, but to please their creator – Allah. Hence, atrocities committed by US troops such as the infamous 1968 My Lai massacre of 500 villagers in Vietnam or the recent massacre of two dozen Iraqi civilians by US marines in Haditha would not happen under a Caliphate. In the Battle of Khandaq 627CE, Ali (who later became a Caliph) was about to kill one of the enemy soldiers when the soldier spat in his face. Instead of killing him, Ali lowered his sword because he didn’t want to kill him out of anger. This is an example of the high values held by soldiers in the Caliphate’s army.

The Caliphate is not isolationist and must abide by the international agreements it signs.

It will encourage non-Muslims from other countries to visit it, study in its universities and conduct trade. Economic and cultural treaties will be signed to facilitate this. Any non-Muslim visiting the Caliphate from a country that the Caliphate has a treaty with, can enter without the need for a visa. They are called a Mu’ahid and have full protection under the state similar to the dhimmi. Prophet Muhammad (saw) said:

The one who kills a Mu’ahid (people with whom the State has treaties) without right he will not smell the fragrance of jannah (heaven) even if its smell was forty years traveling distance. [Reported in the Hadith book Ahmed]

Historically scholars and scientists from across Europe flocked to the Caliphate and studied in the universities of Cordoba, Cairo and Baghdad.

Caliphate is a Mainstream View:

The aspiration of restoring the Caliphate is not a minority view held by extremists and terrorists as all Muslims believe in the idea of a Caliphate or Imamate as Shia refer to it although both are synonymous.

On January 14th 2006, the Washington Post published an article ‘Reunified Islam: Unlikely but Not Entirely Radical’ by Karl Vick. The article heading was “Restoration of Caliphate, Attacked by Bush, Resonates With Mainstream Muslims” and he quotes many ordinary Muslims in Turkey traditionally the most secular country in the Muslim World. ‘I wish there was a caliphate again, because if there was a caliphate all the Muslims would unite,’ said Ertugul Orel, in a sweater and tie at the sidewalk cafe he owns outside Istanbul’s vast Hagia Sophia, an iconic building to both Christians and Muslims. ‘There would be one voice. But I know neither the American nor the Europeans will ever allow it.’ From the next chair, gift shop owner Atacan Cinar added, ‘Before the end of the Ottoman Empire , there was no problem in the Islamic countries.’ ‘The concept of the caliphate is very much alive in the collective memory of society,’ said Ali Bulac, a columnist and author of several books on Islam and Turkey. ‘There is absolutely nothing to keep Muslim society together at the moment.’

Majority of Muslims want the Caliphate:

The Centre for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan published a survey in 2005 entitled Revisiting the Arab Street in which they interviewed numerous population samples throughout the Middle East. Some of their conclusions clearly highlight the desire of Muslims in the Middle East to live by the Shari’a in a Caliphate. Quoting from the survey it,

Asked whether Shari’a should be the only source of legislation, one of the sources of legislation, or not be a source of legislation, most Muslims believed it should at least be a source of legislation. Support was particularly strong in Jordan, Palestine, and Egypt, where approximately two-thirds of Muslim respondents stated that the Shari’a must be the only source of legislation; while the remaining third believed that it must be ‘one of the sources of legislation’. By comparison, in Lebanon and Syria, a majority (nearly two thirds in Lebanon and just over half in Syria) favored the view that Shari’a must be one of the sources of legislation.

The report continued:

In contrast, neither education nor age seems to explain attitudes toward the role of the Sharia in legislation. Pooled data from Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt indicate that 58% of respondents with low education, 59% of those with moderate education, and 56% with higher education believe that Sharia must be the only source of legislation in their countries. Similarly, the pooled data found that approximately 50% of respondents in all age groups wanted to see the Sharia become the only source of legislation, another 36-40% across age groups wanted to see it as a source of legislation, and 10-13% preferred that the Sharia not become a source of legislation.

There are many groups on ‘facebook’ that remark the revival of the Caliphate system. Ever in Pakistan, there are walls filled with slogans in support of the system. Some have been even extending their baa’i or pledge to Imam e Kaaba.

Revival

In lines with the discussion, revival will have to be solely in terms of Sharia. That might be hampered given the disposition of the people of the world. Although a majority is still in favor of Caliphate, there are people who need to be informed of the system well enough so as to have their misconceptions, if there are any, cleared or build support as flock under one identical banner. For this, revival of the understanding of the holy Koran is necessary as well the understanding of ‘deen.’ Also, mass awareness to influence those seated in parliament or constitutional bodies is imperative because then they will be forced to concord with the wishes of the people who have been enlightened by those who want to bring about Caliph.

Another thing that will count is the intellectual revival.

Conclusion

These are just some aspects of life under a future Caliphate that will make it a force for promoting good within the world. Clearly this vision completely contradicts what many western commentators, thinkers and politicians such as Tony Blair would have us believe. The restoration of the Caliphate will usher in a new era of peace, stability and prosperity for the Muslim world and beyond, ending years of oppression by some of the worst tyrants this world has ever seen such as Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan and Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and finally solving the long running problems of Palestine, Iraq, Kashmir and Chechnya to name but a few.
